CSR

We believe that meaningful change starts at the source, with the farmers who grow our food and the communities they support. We’re deeply committed to organic agriculture and the future of farming. Through expanded market access, we empower farmers to thrive, while protecting the environment for generations to come.

We also invest in the next generation by supporting the education and well-being of farmers' children, ensuring stronger, more resilient communities. This is the first step in a bigger journey, one we’re excited to share with you through real stories, real data, and real impact.

When you choose byte Artisan Cashews, you're not just enjoying a delicious, organic snack, you’re joining a movement for fairtrade, sustainability, and global social impact.

The path forward...

Phase 1: Building a Strong Foundation

We start by supporting farmers directly through FAIRTRADE partners. Your purchase helps improve livelihoods at the origin through Sustainability and Social Projects.

Phase 2: Sustaining the Mission

With every pack of byte Artisan Cashews, you’re helping us build a sustainable business that can support ongoing social impact. Our goal: to turn everyday snacking into a powerful driver for positive change.

Phase 3: Empowering Children Worldwide

Ultimately, we aim to invest in the lives of children across three key areas: Healthcare, Education, and Emergency Response. As we grow, we’ll collaborate with our community—you—to decide where support is needed most.

Phase 1: Building a Strong Foundation

Plastic Waste Reduction

  • Launching a plastic recycling initiative in Dong Nai commune [5,447 residents, 2.5 tons/day of waste]
  • Establishing a dedicated waste collection team with trucks and trained officers
  • Educating households on waste segregation: organic vs. inorganic
  • Organic waste sent to black soldier fly farm; plastics sold for recycling
  • Revenues from plastic sales support ongoing collection efforts

Black Soldier Fly Farm

  • Organic waste fed to soldier fly larvae, reducing volume and odor by 90%
  • Farmers contribute seasonal cashew waste as additional feed
  • Composting by products [puree, dried larvae, inoculants] used for organic cashew farming
  • Prevents foul odor, greenhouse gas emissions, and harmful larvae development
  • Scalable, low impact waste management model promoting clean environments

Agroforestry

  • Planting aquilaria [agarwood] as buffer trees around organic cashew farms
  • Trees absorb CO₂ long term, emit oxygen, and improve air quality
  • Agarwood offers high economic value through use in incense, perfume, and medicine
  • Enhances farm sustainability and farmer income
  • Ongoing data collection to monitor agroforestry impact

Biogas

  • Converts livestock manure into methane for cooking fuel
  • Cuts greenhouse gas emissions by 78% compared to conventional methods
  • Reduces odor and replaces harmful wood burning practices
  • Residual sludge from biogas used as fertilizer for cashew farms
  • Pilot in Dong Nai commune expanded to 10 models by EOY
